A Vietnamese woman was found dead in an apartment in Singapore Thursday morning, and police have arrested a local man for allegedly killing her, the Straits Times reported.
The suspect was arrested in his apartment on the ninth floor of Block 406 in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, where the police found the woman’s body in his bedroom.
There is no word on the identity of the victim.
The suspect was known to neighbours simply as “Jack,” the report said, also quoting neighbors as saying they heard “yelling, sounds of dishes smashing and then a woman's frightened cries” early Thursday morning.
Jack, a 40-year-old Singaporean, had brought various women, appearing to be of Thai or Vietnamese descent, back to his apartment before dawn over the years, the report quoted neighbours as saying.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
