Vietnamese woman murdered in Singapore identified

The Vietnamese woman who was murdered in Singapore on Thursday was identified and her relatives will arrive in the city-state next week to receive her body, according to the Vietnamese Embassy.
The family of Tran Cam Ny, 32, in Ca Mau Province, has been informed about her murder, Vu Bang, Counselor at the embassy said Saturday.
“Cam Ny’s sister and possibly another relative will fly to Singapore as early as Monday to receive her body,” Bang said.
Cam Ny was found dead in an apartment in in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on Thursday morning. Singapore police have not revealed when Cam Ny arrived in Singapore, Counselor Bang said.
Lim Hou Peng Jackson, a 40-year-old Singaporean man, was charged on Saturday with the murder of Cam Ny. He will be appear in court on Dec. 12, according a Straits Time report.
If convicted, Lim faces the death penalty or life imprisonment, and if not punished by death, is liable to caning.
