Hanoi Police opened a criminal investigation, on Tuesday, into a 45-year-old woman for running into traffic cops and throwing one onto the hood of her car.
Nguyen Ngoc Xuan is being investigated for “resisting officials on duty.”
The woman gave herself up Sunday after crashing her car into a group of traffic policemen to protest their ruling on her collision with a motorbike the night before.
She allegedly screamed at the officers before stepping into her car.
One officer, Nguyen Trung Dung, was thrown onto the car’s hood and remained there until his colleagues caught up with the car.
Xuan continued to flee after Dung was hurled onto the pavement.
