A Vietnamese man studying in Japan remains in critical condition after being stabbed at the Osaka University, on Tuesday.

Japanese television station NHK reported that the incident occurred at 4:30 pm.

The victim, a 28-year-old postgraduate student at the school of science, passed out after sustaining a knife wound to the abdomen. He was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police said they found no suspicious evidence of an attack so far and suspected that the case was an attempted suicide due to study pressure.
