A court in the southern province of Dong Nai has sentenced a 36-year-old man to 30 years in jail for making and selling methamphetamine.
Nguyen Anh Tuan was found guilty on Saturday on multiple charges, including drug manufacturing, trading and possessing.
Four other people, aged between 28 and 47, received jail terms ranging from two years to 20 years for their roles in Tuan's drug ring.
Two other defendants, who stood trial for helping Tuan buy a gun and two bullets from Cambodia, got five and five and a half years, respectively.
According to the indictment, Tuan learned how to make methamphetamine from a man named Bac, who remains at large.
From July to December 2013, he made three batches of the drug weighing a total of 430 grams and sold them to others.
