A Vietnamese man in Malaysia stabbed two Vietnamese roommates to death Wednesday (July 13) after an argument over who should turn off the light, The Star reported.
The 28-year-old man, whose name was not revealed, also injured a third roommate at a shop in Hulu Selangor District of Selangor State.
The Malaysian newspaper quoted a police officer as saying four people in the shop were about to take a siesta at 12:30 a.m. when the Vietnamese man asked the others to switch off the light.
A quarrel developed after the others refused to do so.
The man used a knife to stab his three roommates, and two of them died.
According to the police, he fled the scene but was arrested about two kilometers away from the shop.
The two dead bodies have been brought to a local hospital for post-mortem.
The identity of all the three victims has not been revealed. The injured roommate is being treated at another hospital.
