Nghe An police have arrested a 26-year-old man accused of smuggling 680 tiger claws from Laos into Vietnam.
Cao Xuan Vo and the claws were seized at his home in Dien Chau District on Tuesday, news website Zing reported.
Tran Huu Hong, Nghe An environmental police chief, said they had followed Vo for a long time before making the arrest.
Vo confessed that he bought the claws in Laos for VND340 million (US$15,250). He intended to sell them to others to make jewelry.
Police are testing if the claws are real tiger claws.
