The Ho Chi Minh City police have arrested a 31-year-old man for allegedly forcing his ex-girlfriend to have sex with him by threatening to post their earlier sex videos online.
Bui Mac Duong was arrested at a hotel in Go Vap District Thursday where he had checked in with the woman, identified only as O, a student in a local university, whom he had forced to come.
At the police station, he admitted to the crime, but claimed he only did so because he wanted to maintain the relationship.
Duong met O on a social network last November, and they became intimate a month later.
Once, in a hotel, he secretly recorded their sex scenes on his phone.
He told the police that O decided to end their relationship after learning he was married and lived with his wife in Dong Nai Province.
But he coerced her into continuing by threatening to upload the film online.
After suffering for several months, O reported to the police.
News website Nguoi Dua Tin quoted him as saying he regretted his action and wanted his sister to give O VND12 million (US$540) to withdraw her complaint.
