Vietnamese and Chinese police arrested an ex-convict wanted for murder as he tried to cross the border Saturday.
Le Van Luc was caught at a border gate in Quang Ninh Province as he was trying to leave Vietnam for China, news website Dan Tri reported.
Police in Thanh Hoa province outside Hanoi put out a special warrant for the 26-year-old early this month after he, together with two other men, chased and stabbed another man to death on July 30 over a personal conflict.
The killing happened less than a month after he had been released from jail on another charge.
A team of Thanh Hoa police officers were awarded VND10 million (US$480) for their catch.
