Police in the central province of Quang Ngai on Saturday arrested a driver after his truck allegedly veered onto the wrong side of the road, crashing into a family of four on a motorbike.
A chief traffic officer in Ba To District said they have arrested Le Tran Thanh Binh, 29, for investigation, local media reported.
The young couple and their two children, 4 and 7, died soon after the collision.
The officer said Binh was driving his truck at very high speed on a national highway in the province.
After crashing head-on with the motorbike, the truck dragged the four victims along for more than ten meters before it stopped.
Binh fled the scene after the collision but police tracked him down later.
