A police official was slightly injured after a masked man shot into his home in the northern province of Ha Nam on Monday.
Lieutenant-colonel Le Duc Tung, the police chief of Phu Ly Town, the capital city of Ha Nam, and his family were watching TV in their house at 10:30 p.m. when the stranger repeatedly shot into the house through the open window.
The family said the man shot three times.
Two shots came into the TV and the remainder hit Tung’s arm, but the injury was not severe.
His family members were unaffected.
Tung was then brought to hospital to treat the minor injury.

He was discharged from hospital soon afterwards and came to work on Tuesday morning.
The police alleged that drug dealers took revenge on him due to his tough measures to crack down on illegal drugs trading.
They are searching for the shooter.
