Military investigators in southern Vietnam have detained a serviceman for allegedly killing a comrade during a fight on Wednesday.
A source told Thanh Nien that investigators are holding Captain Pham Thai Hue to investigate the death of Sub Lieutenant Nguyen Huu Phuoc, 35.
The source, who did not want to be named, said the two had a fight and Hue stabbed Phuoc with a pair of scissors several times.
Phuoc died at a local hospital.
Another soldier was cut in his arm when he tried to stop the fight and had to receive treatment at a military hospital.
The commanding officer, Major General Pham Hoang Sam, told Tuoi Tre newspaper that the incident was an internal affair and that he will provide details after the investigation.
