The government has approved the labor ministry’s proposal for an official nine-day break for the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday in February.
Government offices and state-owned companies thus will close from February 6 to 14.
Schools and other businesses in the country usually follow the same break.
The Lunar New Year holiday this time peaks on February 8 and is the biggest holiday in Vietnam with many parties and festivals across the country.
