A security guard has been arrested for allegedly raping and killing a woman he worked with in an act that police say was caught entire on security video, Vietnam News Agency reported Friday.

Tran Vuong Nhut Tan, 21, was apprehended when he visited a police station in the southern province of Binh Duong to inquire about the death of his alleged victim, Le Thi Viet, on Thursday, VNA said.

The report quoted police as saying that security cameras at Framar Company, where Tan worked as chief of security, caught him in the act.

Viet worked for Framar as an English and Japanese interpreter, and a sales manager.

Tan told police that during his night patrol on Wednesday he found Viet working alone.

He then raped her and strangled her to death without thinking about the cameras, which police said caught the entire crime in full, the news agency reported.

A worker found Viet's body naked when she was cleaning the next morning.

Further investigations are ongoing.
