A group of sculptors say their humungous Statue of Liberty miniature has brought new life to their workshop on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City.
They built the 12 meter (39 feet) statue by pouring cement over a wrought iron frame at their place on National Road 22 in Cu Chi District.
The statue's hollow base has enough room to fit several people inside and can be accessed through a door.
The group's version of lady liberty is on sale for US$10,000.
Tien Phong (Pioneer) newspaper quoted the sculptors as saying that it took a team of five craftsmen three months to complete the structure.
The shop's owner, who asked to remain anonymous, said most of their business comes from customers traveling between HCMC and Tay Ninh Province who end up getting sucked in by their disparate garden of religious and decorative sculptures.
Their most popular products are sculptures of lions, buffalo, horses and deer, which sell for VND1-10 million (US$47.2-472) each.
The Statue of Liberty miniature has drawn even more attention than before, he said.
