The five men arrested in HCMC on July 12 for allegedly procuring for foreigners

Police in Ho Chi Minh City have busted two more prostitution rings that targeted foreign clients, taking five procurers into custody for investigations.

The five male suspects were arrested after police raided the Trang Duc Hotel in District 1 on Friday, and caught two Japanese men having sex with two women.

Initial information was that the suspects were receptionists at the hotel who provided prostitutes to customers, mainly Japanese and South Koreans.

A report on VnExpress online newspaper said the receptionists charged their clients VND1 million (US$47) each time and that they would send ten women to the hotel for clients to choose from.

On Thursday, HCMC police also caught four female spa workers in Tan Binh District having sex with three South Korean and one Japanese man at the facility.

Police are investigating both cases.

Last month police busted a prostitute ring targeting foreigners in the city's downtown, arresting nine people, including alleged pimps.

Police said customers of the ring were charged $100 each time.
