Vietnam plans to increase its media presence to 30 countries and territories by 2015, according to a new plan mentioned in a statement on the government website.

Priority will be given to countries with global political and economic influence and close ties with Vietnam, those with large Vietnamese communities and bordering Vietnam, and ASEAN members.

The agencies that will open offices abroad are Vietnam News Agency, Nhan Dan newspaper, Vietnam Television, and Voice of Vietnam radio.

The plan is now open for residents' opinions on the website of the Ministry of Information and Communication, which controls media agencies in Vietnam.
