Police in Vinh Phuc Province on Wednesday said they have arrested a woman for resisting police officers and running away with one of them atop the hood of her car.
Dinh Thi Huong Thuy, an official at the northern province’s Department of Construction, was reportedly driving on a local road on Tuesday while she was stopped by two traffic officers.
One of them, Nguyen Quang Trung, told Thuy that she was driving at 80 kilometers per hour, above the speed limit of 50 kph.

Thuy was then asked to present her papers, but she refused to do so, police said.
The 33-year-old woman unexpectedly went back into her car, ran straight towards Trung and tossed him onto the car's hood.
She then drove away for more than one kilometer.
Trung said he had to hang on to the windscreen wipers for the whole ride before some locals and other police officers chased after the car, forcing the driver to stop.
Head of the provincial police department Truong Ba Khanh said such a law-defying act must be punished strictly.
