Vietnam labor authorities have announced three companies are penalized about US$4,640 for their violations in labor exporting.
The Hanoi-based Tourist, Trade and Labor Export JSC has been fined VND42.5 million (US$2,023) for sending people to work abroad without the approval of concerned agencies, said inspectors from the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Vietnam News Agency reported on December 14.
EMICO, the radio and television development company under the radio Voice of Vietnam, was fined VND30 million for the same violation.
Phuong Thanh Transport Construction and Investment JSC in Hanoi was fined VND25 million since the company failed to keep regular contact with Vietnam's agencies abroad to manage and protect Vietnamese expat laborers.
The company also failed to test the laborers' capacity after attending training courses for working abroad.
