Ho Chi Minh City customs officers Wednesday seized three boxes containing 310 air gun pellets sent in two mail packages sent from the US as a gift.
They were addressed to a person identified only as N.T.N. living on Pham The Hien Street, District 8.
The rifle bullets were in three bullet boxes.
The officers said the bullets have been confiscated.
According to the city Customs Department, many banned items such as ammunition, guns, and military uniforms have been sent to Vietnam as gifts recently.
They cited a instance of a 10-kilogram package sent from Taiwan containing 14 military uniforms with name tags and ranks on them.
