The Superior People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City upheld a 20-years prison sentence on a Belizean man convicted of drug trafficking on Friday.
Nicholas Starr, 38, was sentenced early this year by the lower Court.
He was arrested with 240 grams of drug in Jun. 2015 in Tay Ninh Province.
According to court documents, Starr was hired by another man, only known as Solomon, to traffic the drug from Cambodia to Vietnam.
The duo crossed the border illegally to arrive at Tay Ninh Province in Jun. 5, 2015 where Solomon handed over the drug to Starr and promised to pay him US$1,000 for delivering it to Ho Chi Minh City.
However, they were stopped by local police. Starr was caught red-handed with the drug but Solomon managed to escape.
