Police in the northern province of Lang Son on Tuesday caught two traffickers trying to smuggle 10 kilograms of methamphetamine into Vietnam from China.
Be Thi Niem, 33 and her accomplice Hoang Van Phong, 39, were arrested at 10 a.m. near the border with a bag of pineapples, in which they hid 10 bags of the illicit drug, police said.
The duo told police they had bought the drug in China and were about to carry it into Vietnam for sale later.
Further investigation is ongoing.
