Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air fined for long flight delays

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is fining Vietnam Airlines and VietJet Air VND15 million each for long hours delays without timely or sufficiently informing passengers.
Vietnam Airlines did not timely inform the passenger of flight VN1370 from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue on Tuesday about the 8 hour and 15 minute delay, according to CAAV.
The passengers complained that they arrived at HCMC's airport early in the morning but could not start their flight until 2.25 p.m. 
Meanwhile, passengers of VietJet Air flight VJ321 from Phu Quoc to HCMC had to wait almost 12 hours at the airport on Monday.
The flight, scheduled to began at 8.45 a.m., was delayed after its crew reported about break system warnings. It resumed at 7 p.m. the same day.
According to CAAV, VietJet Air was penalized for failing to sufficiently inform passengers about the delay.
