A Vietnam Airlines pilot was found dead on Monday at a hotel in Paris, where he stayed with his crew before flying back to Vietnam, according to the national carrier.
VnExpress quoted an unnamed source as saying that the day before, Nguyen Dinh Tuan, 52, arrived in Paris on a flight from Ho Chi Minh City.
That evening after playing sport, Tuan, who had worked as a co-pilot for the airline for many years, said he was tired and returned to his room.
The next morning his crew found him dead when they came to his room to wake him up.
The source said that Tuan probably had a stroke.
French agencies are investigating the cause of death. Tuan's body was expected to be sent home Thursday, the newswire reported.
