A US veteran who fought in the Vietnam War visited families of Agent Orange victims in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak last Friday.

Jeff Mc Laury presented 21 gifts, each worth VND3 million (US$144), to the poor families affected by the toxic chemical in Buon Ma Thuot City, the capital of Dak Lak Province, and Cu Mgar District.

He told Thanh Nien he was sad to see handicapped children born into the families in which the parents were infected with Agent Orange and the legacies of the chemical sprayed by the US army forces in the war.
