A new web-based form will replace two others previously used to file Nonimmigrant Visa Electronic Applications online, according to new procedures issued by the US Embassy in Hanoi.
The DS-160 application will replace the DS-156 application, and the supplementary DS-157 and DS-158 applications required for certain visas, beginning April 16, according to a press release from the embassy.
More than 70 US Embassies and Consulates have already switched to the DS-160 form, according to the release.
The old DS-156 will no longer be available for use online as of April 16, but any DS-156 forms created before that date will still be accepted.
