Four new classrooms were put into use last Saturday at the Phu Thinh Kindergarten in Phu Tho province after a US$100,000 renovation funded by the Boeing Company and the local community.
Besides the new classrooms, the school has two teacher's lounges and latrines.
Non-governmental organization East Meets West (EMW) and its local partners implemented the project.
"Today [October 13] marks the positive results of cooperation among public and private sector partners in Phu Tho dedicated to improving educational facilities," Minh Chau Nguyen of EMW said in a statement released after the event.
The new facilities will benefit nearly 400 students and teachers.
The project was part of a plan to expand and renovate the Phu Thinh Kindergarten in order to meet standards set by the Ministry of Education.
