As of last Thursday, soldiers in the central province of Quang Tri had unearthed the remains of 70 Vietnamese soldiers along with their belongings in a Vietnam War mass grave.

While the remains of 30 martyrs were found in the garden of Tran Vinh in Cam Lo District, others were dug up from a site about one kilometer from Dau Mau Bridge in the same district.

According to materials provided by the Vietnam Veterans of America and Vietnamese agencies, the soldiers belonged to a battalion of 158 soldiers, all of whom were killed in an attack on the enemy launched on January 27, 1968.

Related agencies are cooperating with each other to identify the martyrs.
