Two Ukrainians, who have confessed to coming to Vietnam just to withdraw cash from ATMs using fake cards, were arrested in Ho Chi Minh City on February 9 after managing to get more than VND150 million (US$7,200).
Artem Petrenco Ygoravich and Jura Kratrenko Leonhilevich were caught red-handed while drawing the money, a source told Thanh Nien Wednesday.
They told the police that an unidentified person had hired them in Ukraine and given them some 100 ATM cards. In exchange, they were to get 10 percent of the money and have their expenses paid.
Investigations are continuing.
