The head of a construction firm and a worker were killed in Ho Chi Minh City Friday after they touched a power cable around the third floor of the house they were building.
Bui Cong Chinh, 48, director of a construction firm whose name was not disclosed, died on the spot on the scaffolding, local newswire Vnexpress reported.
The worker, 18-year-old Tran Van Tinh, fell from a height of around 14 meters at around 5 p.m. He died on the way to hospital.
Around six to seven people were working on the floor on Phan Van Tri Street. They had been doing repair and upgrade work at the house for a month.
After the accident, the city power company checked all the electric wires along the street.
Power supply was restored after about two hours.
Authorities are investigating the case further.
