Two men were killed on the spot and another critically injured when an oxygen tank exploded in a storehouse in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak on Monday.
The huge blast, possibly caused by gas leak, torn the bodies of the victims apart and broke glasses in building nearly 50 meters away, witnesses said.
The storehouse belongs to oxygen tank producer Vien Nguyen Services and Trade Co., Ltd. in Buon Ma Thuot Town.
Company director Pham Quang Uyen, 64, and his driver Nguyen Quang Trung, 33, were checking the building when the tank exploded, according Doan Quang Nam, who suffered multiple injuries in the accident.
A report on the VnExpress news website said one leg of a victim was found more than 100 meters from the storehouse and part of the exploded tanks even farther away.
Glasses in the company's canteen, which is located almost 50 meters from the blast, were broken.
Nam, 22, who said he was about 10 meters away from the storehouse, was knocked unconscious and was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Police are investigating.
