Traffic police vehicle injures three in HCMC

A small truck from the Tan Tuc Traffic Police Unit in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City, plunged into a concrete barrier on National Highway 1A on August 30

A traffic police truck crashed into two motorbikes, injuring two young women and a man in a Ho Chi Minh City suburb on Saturday.
The accident happened at around 2:30 p,m, while a small truck from the Tan Tuc Traffic Police Unit was patrolling the stretch of National Highway 1A that cuts through through Binh Chanh District.
The vehicle reportedly crashed into two motorbikes traveling in the same direction before plunging into a concrete divider.
Tran Thi Trang, 20, and Tran Thi Thuy Dung, 22, and a man named Vo Chi Bao, 24, fell off the bikes and were treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries.
They were discharged the following evening.
The district's traffic police say vehicle’s gears may have jammed, causing the officer driving the truck to lose control.
The accident remains under investigation.
