Rescuers have recovered the bodies of two of three girls who were swept away by strong waves at a beach in the central province of Quang Ngai on February 11.
The bodies of Pham Thi Ngoc Phu, 15, and Pham Tieu Huong, 12 were found not far from the place they were swimming off the coast in Binh Son District's Binh Thanh Commune.
Meanwhile, the body of 14-year-old Dang Thi Nhu Thao remains missing, Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper quoted Nguyen So, deputy chief police of Binh Thanh Commune as saying.
At around 1:30 on February 11, the three girls went to the beach with classmate Nguyen Thai Thao. The girls were swept away by the tide, but Thao was lucky enough to escape to safety.
In related news, a 25-year-old man remains missing after slipping off the Da Dia Cliff in Phu Yen Province's Tuy An District.
On February 10, Pham Quoc Cong, 25, a native of Hau Giang Province went to the sightseeing area with four friends. He slipped off the cliff while posing for a picture.
Rescuers found his body two days later.
