A motorist killed himself and two other people when plunged his motorbike into a boat on a river in the Mekong Delta province of Tra Vinh Wednesday, Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper reported.
Bui Khanh Luc, 29, was driving a motorbike with two women on the back seat early that morning.
According to eyewitnesses, Luc was driving at a high speed down Bach Dang Street in the city of Tra Vinh. He lost control of the vehicle and plunged the bike off the Long Binh river.
The bike crashed into a boat, which was parked on the river wharf.
Luc and the two women Do Thi Mong Thu, 28, and Tran Ngoc Tu, 30, died on the spot.
Local authorities said they were still investigating the case.
