Police in the southern province of Binh Phuoc arrested three teenagers on Monday for allegedly throwing explosives into a police officer's house on Saturday night.

Ha Ngan Thuy, 18, Vu Trong Nguyen, 17, and Nguyen Ha Hieu, 15, admitted to bombing the house of Nguyen Minh Chau, an officer with the Phuoc Tin Commune Police.

No casualties were caused as the family was out at the time. But almost all furniture in the house was damaged and debris from the explosives were found.

Police said Chau had just helped bust a cock fighting gambling syndicate and has received threats ever since. The bombing of his home could have been an act of revenge, according to investigators.

The teen boys said they also threw explosives that same night into the house of Doan Van Van, a 44-year-old carpenter, 500 meters from Chau's house.

Police are investigating the case.
