Authorities in a primary school in Nghe An Province said Thursday they have suspended a teacher accused of sexually assaulting several girls in his class.
Tran Xuan Khang, the headmaster of Hung Binh Primary School, told Tuoi Tre newspaper that the 32-year old IT teacher had admitted to behaving “inappropriately” with his students.
The school said investigation of his alleged molestation of the girls, all aged nine, is ongoing, adding it is considering sacking him.
The school authorities came to know about his alleged crimes late last month after a girl told her mother he had cuddled her and touched her genitals.
The mother called another parent, who is the leader of the school’s parent group, to complain, and learnt that the latter’s daughter had also been sexually assaulted.
More phone calls discovered that at least two other girls had been molested by him during their computer classes.
The teacher denied all the accusations at first, but at a later meeting with parents and students, he admitted to molesting the children.
