On September 28, a South African woman died on the spot after her motorbike allegedly crashed into a truck in downtown HCMC in the early morning.
A week earlier, Brazilian American Otavio Fleury also died on the street at the Dinh Tien Hoang-Dien Bien Phu crossroads in District 3 as he drove his 250cc motorbike and hit the Lotteria outlet wall on the sidewalk.
Initial investigation suggested that he drove too fast and was killed by the impact.
