A taxi driver in Ho Chi Minh City has been hospitalized with brain injuries after his car fell off a bridge and ended up six meters below on Monday.
Initial investigation suggested that the 25-year-old driver of Vinasun, Ta Duc Phi, was avoiding motorbikes in the opposite direction on the Chu Y Bridge in District 8.
As he made a sharp turn, the car tore through the barrier before plunging down onto the ground below, landing on its roof.
Local residents pulled the driver out and rushed him to hospital. The crash and fall caused damage to his internal organs, doctors said.
