People in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province in southern Vietnam have nabbed a local man suspected of stopping several schoolgirls and molested them on the street.
The residents caught the suspect on Monday afternoon after a victim reported him to security guards near her school, police said.
Locals joined the guards to arrest the man and handed him to the police.
The middle school student said the man wore a face mask and drove a motorbike to press her onto the sidewalk before touching her breasts and her privates.
A police officer said the man has admitted to having done that to many other students he saw on the street.
Police earlier received similar complaints from local schoolgirls, who said they were attacked on their way to or from school.
They have not revealed the name of the suspect, but said he is 28 and is a worker at a brick factory in the province.
They have not decided how to punish the man either.
A senior officer said he is not being officially arrested by police as his act may not result in criminal charges.
