Two children in the Mekong Delta's Bac Lieu Province were killed by hornet stings Sunday, while picking tamarinds, VnExpress reported Tuesday.

They had accidentally struck a nest of the stinging insects while picking the fruit. A local woman, Huynh Thi Ngoan, tried to save the boys and was stung as well.
