Ho Chi Minh City police rescued a South Korean woman who apparently attempted to commit suicide by jumping off a hotel room on Sunday.
At around 2:30 p.m. the woman in her 20s was found climbing the window of the hotel room on Pham Thai Buong Street in Phu My Hung urban area in District 7.
She reportedly screamed while sitting on the window.
Nearby residents called the police, who arrived at the scene with a stair truck for rescue.
Police prepared cushions and nets on the grounds. Some officers went into the hotel room to persuade the woman to change her mind. 
She did and was escorted out of the hotel one hour later.
Police said the tourist, whose name has been withheld, entered Vietnam on Saturday.
Local media said she was angry with her boyfriend.
