Ho Chi Minh City's police on Wednesday arrested two men soon after they allegedly snatched a bag from a British tourist in the famous backpacker area.
Le Ngoc Hoang Thao, 21, and Le Van Sy, 17, were fleeing when officers at District 1's police kicked their bike over, sending them onto the street.
Police said they had been following the duo when they were riding "suspiciously" around this crowded tourist destination.
Soon the men approached the 19-year-old victim and Sy, who was riding pillion, snatched her bag.
The bag contained an iPhone, a credit card along with personal documents, according to police.
The suspects admitted to having robbed another tourist about half hour before, the police said.
