Hanoi police seized Tuesday a batch of antique clocks without any papers to prove origin and suspected to be smuggled into Vietnam.

They said officers checked a small truck parked in front of a house in an alley because the driver appeared suspicious.

They found more than 60 antique clocks worth billions of dong inside.

Nguyen Duc Nang, their owner, failed to produce documents to show origin, the police suspect the clocks were smuggled in and would be sold to antique dealers and collectors.
