Six killed in central Vietnam bus-car collision

Six people died after a car crashed into a bus on National Highway 1A in the central province of Khanh Hoa early Tuesday.

According to polce, the four-seater crashed into the passenger bus, which was traveling on the opposite direction, on the highway through Khanh Hoa's Van Ninh District.

The car was thrown some 70 meters backwards by the collision, and both vehicles plunged into the roadside.

All the six people in the four-seater, including the driver, died on the spot.

None of the passengers on the bus were injured.

All the victims hail from the central province of Ninh Thuan near Khanh Hoa, according to local authorities. They said the car might have encroached into the lane the bus was coming on, causing the accident.
