Vocalists Dam Vinh Hung and Kasim Hoang Vu have been selected as ambassadors of the "Life is Beautiful" campaign by Vietnam Television and the East Meets West Foundation (EMW).

The campaign, launched by VTV and EMW in December last year, is a global initiative aiming to help people with disabilities in Vietnam by mobilizing support from individuals and organizations.

In one of their first missions as ambassadors, Hung and Vu will participate in the "Life is beautiful" gala held in Ho Chi Minh City in April 17 to mark Vietnam's Day for Disabled People, which falls the next day.

The gala, aiming to honor the talents and strengths of people with disabilities in Vietnam as well as NGOs and individuals that support disabled people in the country, will be broadcast not only in Vietnam but also in the US, Australia and Europe via VTV channels.

Since its inception in Vietnam more than 22 years ago, EMW has overseen over US$74 million in aid for projects and programs in healthcare, education, among other fields.
