Ho Chi Minh City police on Thursday arrested a hotel guard for helping guests find sex workers.
Dao Huy Hoang, security guard at a hotel on Bui Thi Xuan Street, is facing charges of procuring sex.
On Thursday morning, police raided the hotel and caught two sex workers and two clients.
The workers said they were sent in by Hoang, who confessed that he charged each client VND2.5 million (US$111). He said he earned VND1 million per client, giving the rest to the sex workers and xe om (motorbike taxi) drivers.
Four xe om drivers have also been interrogated for allegedly bringing sex workers to the hotel.
Police are investigating if other people at the hotel are involved.
Earlier in 2012, an employee of the same hotel was arrested also for procuring sex.
Sex work is still prohibited in Vietnam.
