Border guards in central Vietnam on Friday apprehended a Russian man who was being wanted by the Interpol for drug trafficking.
Vladimir Shperlinh, 32, was caught with 2.3 kilograms of marijuana when he was attempting to enter Vietnam from Laos through the Lao Bao border gate in Quang Tri Province.
The man has been hunted by the Interpol for 10 years.
Now in the custody of Lao Bao border guards, Shperlinh is going to be handed over to relevant agencies.
A 28-year-old Vietnamese man was also arrested in Lao Bao on Thursday along with 0.6 kilograms of marijuana.
