Police in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province in Vietnam southern coast on Monday arrested two people on a street who were carrying 26 kilograms of explosives.
Nguyen Yen Vien, 55, and Le Xuan Tuyet, 44, were transporting the explosives and 3,000 detonators unloaded from a passenger bus from the north, a Vietnam News Agency report quoted the police as saying.
A search of An's house found a further 1.75 kilograms of explosive.
Police said the trafficking posed a huge risk to other people's lives on the bus.
They are investigating the case further as they suspect that there is a larger operation involved.
