The Ho Chi Minh City police are investigating a burglary at the house of a German diplomat who said she lost more than US$21,000 worth of property.
The theft occurred on November 10 at the house of Regina Werner, an attaché at the German consulate general, in Tran Nao Street, District 2.
Police said Werner woke up at around 4:15 a.m. and found an iPhone, three iPads, a laptop, a camera, a watch, and other items totally worth about VND480 million had been burgled.
The family had forgotten to lock a door, the police said.
The District 2 police have sought assistance in the investigation from the city police department and prosecutor’s office.
