One died, three were injured and another went missing after the pipe of a hydropower plant busted in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on Tuesday morning.
Following the explosion at the Dam Bol Hydropower Plant in Bao Lam District, water and mud swept away two nearby houses and five members of a family, who were doing farm work in a garden.
Tran Van Trung, 11, was confirmed dead after being pulled out of the mud.
Trung's mother, younger brother and sister were seriously injured, while his 33-year-old aunt is still missing.
As many as 150 rescuers were sent to the accident site to search for the missing victim.
Local authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
